The first PKU Alumni Forum in Statistics was successfully held on the morning of July 23, 2022 Beijing time. The forum was held by Center for Statistical Sciences at PKU, School of Mathematical Sciences and Guanghua School of Management in order to strengthen the academic exchange and communication between the alumni of Peking University and their Alma mater, and to promote the academic exchange of statistics. The theme of the forum is "Statistics, Data Science and Beyond ".
Nearly two hundred participants attended the forum, in addition to the Peking University alumni, teachers and students, it also attracted the attention of scholars from other universities and industries.
Affected by the epidemic, the forum was held through the online platform. Prof. Jun Liu from Harvard University, Prof. Jianfeng Feng from Fudan University and Prof. Samuel Kou from Harvard University gave lectures, and had a roundtable discussion with the guests.
