The International Congress of Mathematicians 2022 (ICM 2022) will take place between 6 - 14 July 2022 as a virtual event. The Fields Medal, considered as the highest honor in mathematics will be announced. Mathematicians from all over the world will gather together and participate in this event. There will be several lectures from the prize winners and 21 plenary lectures and about two hundred 45-minute invited lectures. Academician of the School of Mathematical Sciences Weinan E will give a plenary lecture, and Professor Ding Jian of the Department of Probability and Statistics will give an invited lecture. Six faculty and seven alumni from Peking University were invited to give lectures, and eight mathematicians from six universities and research institutions in China were invited to give 45-minute lectures.
During this International Congress of Mathematicians, the School of Mathematical Sciences held a special offline event to live broadcast the opening ceremony, the lectures of the Fields Medal winners, the one-hour lectures and the lectures of Peking University teachers. The offline session will be held from 15:00, July 6 to July 14 at Room 1560, Science Building No. 1, Peking University. Moreover, if you are interested in other lectures or lectures in a certain direction, and need to customize the live-broadcast. Please feel free to contact the staff.

Virtual ICM 2022
On 5 July 2022, the IMU will hold the IMU Award Ceremony 2022 as a live event at Aalto University (Runeberginkatu 14–16, Aalto Töölö, 00100 Helsinki, Finland). Here the winners of the Fields Medals, IMU Abacus Medal, Chern Medal Award, Carl Friedrich Gauss Prize and Leelavati Prize will be announced, and the awards will be handed over. The event will be streamed via the IMU's YouTube channel and Facebook page.
Lectures are scheduled to take place between 9:00–18:00 CEST, 6 - 14 July 2022.
